Victoria Ritah Nalule is an attorney who is an Energy and Mining expert and consultant with extensive experience working on various projects in different areas of the world. She has more than ten years of experience in Energy law, Mining law, and international arbitration and has written many books in this field. Her working area covers various topics such as energy, oil, mining, gas, renewable energy, climate change, transparency, and governance issues. She completed her master’s degree in Petroleum and Mining Law and Policy in 2014 and her doctorate in International Energy Law and Policy in 2018. She is currently Chief Consultant at Nalule Energy and Mineral Consultancy, Founder and Executive Director in Africa Energy and Mining Management Initiative, and visiting lecturer at various universities. She knows English and Ugandan languages.

Munkhnaran MUNKHTUVSHIN

Munkhnaran Munkhtuvsin completed her L.L.B at the National University of Mongolia  and then completed her Master’s Degree at Nagoya University. She has been doing PhD program at Nagoya University since 2020. Between 2016 and 2018, she worked as an administrative specialist at Mongolian Arbitration Center. Majoring in public private international law, Munkhtuvshin currently tutoring undergraduate students on International Commercial Arbitration at Nagoya University. She is fluent in Turkish, Japanese and English.

Khushboo SHAHDADPURI

Khushboo is a Senior Associate in Al Tamimi & Company’s Arbitration department.  She is a dual qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Singapore and the State of New York. Khushboo’s practice focuses on international dispute resolution. She has represented conglomerates, state entities, employers, contractors and sub-contractors in construction, infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, real estate, corporate and shipping disputes. Her experience includes international arbitration matters under the ICC, SIAC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, LMAA, QICCA and ad-hoc arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL rules.  Khushboo regularly advises clients in complex, multi-party and high value construction and infrastructure disputes in the region she operates. Her expertise lies in construction and infrastructure projects where there has been delay, defective works, termination, cessation and/or variation, amongst others. Spencer BUGINGO

Spencer Bugingo is practicing lawyer and arbitration practitioner based in Kigali, Rwanda. He is involved in arbitration especially in the areas of energy, construction, gas, fuel and procurement which are emerging areas for dispute settlement and arbitration in Africa. Gibson Gisore NYAMATO

Gibson Gisore Nyamato is advocate of the High Court of Kenya, partner of the law firm called Karanja and Gisore Advocates and arbitrator registered with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Kenya Branch. He has been taking part in the litigation proceedings related to energy disputes at the Kenyan Tribunals and Courts. He holds an LLM degree in Environmental Law. He has been a lecturer of law in various Kenyan universitites for over nine years. He is inclined towards Energy Law, Environmental Law and Climate Change. Currently, he pursues his PhD in Environmental Law and Policy at the University of Nairobi. His research areas are around the Energy mix policies in Kenya and the region.

Ezgi Ceren ÇUBUK

Ezgi Ceren Cubuk is an experienced international arbitration practitioner. After graduating from law school in Turkey, she completed her internship at the Ankara Bar Association and practiced commercial litigation during this period. She worked at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Department representing the Republic of Turkey in the International Law field. After gaining broad experience in international arbitration, Ms. Cubuk completed her Master’s in Law at the University of Miami as she continues to work in the field of arbitration in Miami, Florida.

Kerim Uster is lawyer specialized in international law, international arbitration and project development, primarily in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Kerim has worked in cross-border disputes and international arbitration, particularly in the energy, mining and natural resource sectors. He also focuses his practice on advising clients regarding their disputes in African jurisdictions, in particular in the OHADA region as well as under the Energy Charter Treaty and Bilateral Investment Treaties. Dr. Tibisay MORGANDI

Dr Tibisay Morgandi, LLM (Harvard), PhD (Graduate Institute Geneva) is Associate Professor (tenured) in International Energy and Natural Resources Law at Queen Mary University of London. She is an international lawyer with ten years’ experience teaching, publishing and practising in public and private international law in the fields of energy, environmental and climate law, investment and commercial arbitration, and business and human rights (including ESG). She has experience assisting counsel and arbitrators in proceedings before the ICJ, ICSID, and SIAC. She has worked for the Chilean Government and several inter-governmental and non-governmental organisations, including the European Commission, Chatham House and Client Earth. She is an Italian-Venezuelan national registered at the Bar in Italy. She grew up bilingual in Italian and Spanish, and is fluent in English and French.
